The Dallas Office of global law firm Jones Day has announced that Al Rota, a partner in the Financial Institutions Litigation & Regulation Practice, was selected to participate in the Leadership Dallas Class of 2017.

Leadership Dallas is a Dallas Regional Chamber program to develop "an ongoing source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serve as catalysts and sustainers of positive change for the quality of life in the greater Dallas area." The 10-month program educates participants on critical issues facing the community, including human services, government and politics, economic development, health care, criminal justice, education, and arts and culture.

Mr. Rota represents financial institutions and other companies in complex commercial litigation, government regulatory and enforcement matters, and internal investigations. Al focuses a substantial portion of his practice on representing financial institutions in complex structured financial product litigation, including RMBS and other asset backed securities. In addition, Al has deep experience defending banks in CFPB, OCC, and FDIC supervisory examinations, investigations, and enforcement actions. He has handled multiple bank regulatory supervisory and enforcement matters regarding allegedly unfair and deceptive trade practices. Mr. Rota was named a "Rising Star under 40" by Law360 in 2015 and was designated a "Rising Star" by Texas Super Lawyers 2013-2016.
